Epcot France Food Wine Beef Bourguginon
Bonjour, mes amis! We are headed to the City of Lights, and taking you along with us. We've been anxiously awaiting the reopening of Chefs de France and OUR TIME HAS FINALLY COME!
Chefs de France is located in the France Pavilion at EPCOT and has consistently served up pretty great food. You know we were one of the FIRST people in the door when this spot reopened on October 8th. Let's see if the food is just as good since reopening!

I'm so excited that the Epcot Food and Wine Festival is just around the corner! Mark your calendars for August 31-November 13, when we celebrate 75 incredible days of food, wine, and more!
The festival begins earlier than ever before this year, so we're busy preparing and planning to make the most of our time there. And I suggest you do the same!
While taking in Low Cost Seminars and Demonstrations or splurging on a Special Event or two is super fun, my favorite festival pastime is still strolling along the World Showcase Promenade and taking in both new and familiar eats and drinks at the festival Marketplace Booths.
While we await news of just exactly what that means, and to see what if any new booths are announced, today we're sharing the five booths you absolutely cannot miss at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival this year!
Note — Disney has not released their official list of Epcot Food and Wine Festival booths, yet, so these are subject to change. To make sure you get notified FIRST when this year's booths are finalized, join the Disney Food Blog Newsletter!
So, What's New?
There's always something fun and new to look forward to each year. And this year will be no exception. Disney promises 35 booths to celebrate 35 years of Epcot awesomeness. So far, we're getting a look at two newly returning booths that promise to offer some delicious and exotic fare.
Spain
Spain
, last seen on the World Showcase Promenade in 2010, returns to the festival this year. Since Spain has a rich culture of beautifully prepared regional foods, we look forward to seeing this menu!
So far, we've confirmed a new Spain menu item,Charcuterie in a Cone. What a cool way to have your snack and stroll with it too. 😀 I'm pretty sure this plus a glass of Spanish wine will be very nice on a festival evening.
In addition, there's a very real chance that we'll see variations on dishes that have been featured here before. Look for possibilities such as Seared Albacore Tuna with Romesco Sauce, Snapper Escabeche, Spanish Almond Cake, or Crema Catalana, along with some interesting Spanish wines and beer.

We're back today with another delicious look at the 2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
It's always exciting to see what new Marketplaces and other experiences pop up each year at the Festival, but I'm always eager to indulge in my tried and true favorites as well!
Today, let's take a peek at some always-busy booths — France and Mexico — to take a closer look at both classics and brand new flavors.
The France Marketplace Booth
When you visit the France Marketplace, you're participating in Food and Wine Festival Heritage! That's right — it's one of the original spots from the very first event, which was held in 1996.
And though the menu has changed a bit from year to year, it's always a favorite stop for guests.
You'll notice that the France booth has a very robust menu. With three different savory items, plus dessert, you could easily make a meal out of the offerings here. Add to that wines and cocktails, and you would definitely want to visit the Marketplace more than once to try everything.
The big news at the France booth this year was a change to the classic Escargot offering. In the past, guests have enjoyed Escargots en Persillade in the perfect stroll-and-eat version; the escargots were nestled in rounds of Brioche.
But in 2014, escargot became an ingredient in a savory tart. The Tartelette aux Escargots combined the Snails with Spinach, Garlic, Bacon, and Parmesan, presented in a deep, rectangular savory tart.
This one has probably been one of the biggest controversies of the festival this year! We've heard from guests who love it, and from guests who hate it.
Me? While I'm not a huge fan of spinach or snails on their own, the combo of flavors is an absolute win here. But really, is there a way to go wrong when Bacon and Garlic are involved??
Also joining the line up this year is Gratin de Crozets de Savoie. The savory combination of Gruyere and Mushrooms makes this rich vegetarian dish a hit.
The pasta used in the dish, Crozet, comes to us from Savoie. It's a uniquely French version of pasta, customarily a whole wheat variety.
Also on the menu is another popular option from years past: [Read more…]
It's time for another fantastic recipe inspired by the 2013 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
As most of you know, beef short ribs are enjoying a bit of a moment on menus across the country these days. And there are no shortage of preparations for this hearty cut of beef at Disney.
This year, the popular dish returned to the France Marketplace booth's menu after a bit of a hiatus, and is given a decidedly French twist!
This is a great recipe to try as the air turns crisp and the days grow shorter. And this version is given good body by shredding the meat and adding pearl onions and mushrooms.

Just a couple more weeks, and we'll all be checking out long-awaited 2013 Epcot Food and Wine Festival!
While we look forward to trying some brand new experiences, like the Scotland Booth, there are plenty of returning fan favorites as well. Two of my favorite booths over the past couple of years have been the France and Greece Marketplace Booths.
Boasting delicious bites and long lines, these are spots that you should try and hit early in the day before the crowds swell! Let's check out what they'll be offering in 2013…
France
The France Marketplace Booth is one of the original marketplaces that debuted for the very first Food and Wine Festival eighteen years ago. I can't imagine having this event without it!
2013 France Marketplace Booth Menu
What's back this year? Staples like snails and creme brûlée, but also a past festival favorite. This booth offers, really, a full MEAL when you think about it! Appetizer, entree, dessert, drinks!
- Escargots Persillade en Brioche (Garlic and Parsley Snails in Brioche)
- Boeuf Bourguignon (Braised Short Ribs in Cabernet with Mashed Potatoes)
- Crème Brûlée au Chocolat au Lait (Chocolate Milk Crème Brûlée topped with Caramelized Sugar)
- Beer Kronenbourg Blanc
- Chardonnay, Macon-Villages, La Côte Blanche
- Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux, Château Bonnet
- Sparkling Pomegranate Kir
- Eiffel Sour Cosmo Slush (Vodka, Grey Goose Cherry Noir, Grand Marnier, Cranberry Juice)
For the last two years, the France booth has offered Coq au Vin with Macaroni and Cheese, and there have been rave reviews (from me especially!).
This year, Boeuf Bourguignon created with Braised Short Ribs in Cabernet and served with Mashed Potatoes are back on the menu — a return from 2010. Thanks, as always, to Kelly Amey from Changing Latitudes for this pic!
