OK, information technology sounds like one of these things is happening:
-- y'all're non using the right upload settings when uploading the video file;
-- you're not selecting the HD version of the video to play on YouTube; or,
-- the video file isn't properly encoded prior to upload

For the first ane, what options does YouTube give you when uploading the video, if whatsoever? Also, it apparently automatically converts all videos to a 16:9 attribute ratio if they aren't already in that format (4:3 vidoes get "pillars" on the left & right sides).

For the 2nd one, understand that (like Facebook) YouTube by default shows a lower quality video, unless yous choose to lookout a higher quaility version. Even videos that are uploaded at 720p or 1080p resolution, by default, will prove up as either 320p or 480p. You lot can still lookout man the college-resolution video, but you have to manually select that version (if it's available). Click on the gear icon & select the quality that you lot want.

For the final ane, try:

Appears to take recommended video/audio & format encoding settings to utilize for the video file before uploading it to YouTube.

Thanks for the reply, I went to that link, and I have a question nigh it.

At one office information technology says

Video codec: H.264

Progressive browse (no interlacing)
High Profile
two sequent B frames
Closed GOP. GOP of half the frame rate.
CABAC
Variable bitrate. No bitrate limit required, though we offer recommended fleck rates below for reference
Blush subsampling: 4:two:0

how would I cheque if my video has progressive scan, high profile, ii consecutive B frames, etc.?

Depends on the source of the file. If it was created past conversion from another file format (i.e. converting from AVI to WMV), then you would want to bank check the settings in the conversion program. If it was created from another device (i.e. digital camera, digital video recorder, etc.), you tin check the manual for the file specifications it uses, or check on the vendor's support page. If it was created by a screenshot programme (i.east. AMD's Raptr), the Aid file or manual should take the file specifications there.

In that location might too be some programs out in that location that can analyze a file & determine what its settings are, but I don't really do video editing, and then it's starting to go out of my areas of expertise. Nonetheless, the iClarify site (which is apparenlty a program for Macs that can browse a file) said that GSpot can be used on Windows PCs in identify of iClarify.

I had the same trouble today with my uploaded videos on Youtube.

They were not in 1080p & I could only scout them in 720p.

I plant out information technology was a Chrome extension that was bugging the channel called (Magic actions for YouTube) & how I stock-still it was, I deleted the Magic actions for YouTube extension.

So, I added the extension dorsum to Chrome without changing the Enable Automobile Hd & Force player type settings.

Now my videos are back at 1080p.

YouTube compresses all of their videos regardless of the resolution. You can better the quality by rendering it out in 1440p or higher then uploading it, considering all of those videos go a ameliorate codec, chosen VP9, which volition look meliorate fifty-fifty on the lower resolution settings. And, 1440p+ also get college bitrate from YouTube. You can discover the codec of any video you are watching by right clicking => Stats for nerds. Normally it will say something like vp9 or avc1.XXXX.

The made my 1080p recorded motorcycle videos look much ameliorate. I could record in 4K but it uses up too much memory and bombardment on my Sony FDR X3000 and HDR AS300s. The 1080p video looks great when I render at 1920x1080 15MPS bitrate but when I upload to youtube it can become blurry. From now on in I will return my 1080p videos at 4k and upload to Youtube.
